Dear All, Below are the comments from Fair Standards Alliance on the proposed FAQs for the revised IEEE IPR Policy. "The Fair Standards Alliance (FSA) supports the inclusion of IEEE PatCom proposed new FAQs as drafted, in the FAQ update. The proposed FAQs provide needed clarity to address confusion and questions that have resulted
following the updates to the IEEE Patent Policy that came into effect on 1 January 2023. We further encourage IEEE to provide helpful, additional guidance clarifying that while a potential licensee’s shows a willingness to negotiate in good faith this should
be interpreted broadly such that it would be inappropriate under most circumstances for a licensor to seek a Prohibitive Order. We stand ready to assist IEEE in bringing about clarity to the updated patent policy.” Thank you for your consideration.
