REGISTRATION

The on-line registration system is now disabled.  You may "walk-up" register in person at the hotel on Sunday afternoon (starting at 1:00 pm), or on Monday (starting at 7:00 am).  The fee for a walk-up registration is US$375 for IEEE members, and US$400 for non-members.  Credit cards, bank checks, or personal/company checks accepted (no cash please).

IMPORTANT: To enter the meeting area (even for an hour or two), or participate in any social events or technical tours, you must be properly registered and wear a name badge.

The Power Distribution & Regulating Transformers Standards 2011 Collection will be available for purchase on-line when registering for the Fall 2011 meeting in Boston.  The CD must be picked up at the meeting, it will not be mailed.  For more details see Special Meeting Pricing.

A great way to start your week out in Boston - this 80 min. tour will acquaint you with the city and all it has to offer. This narrated tour takes place on a “DUCK”, a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle, that goes from the streets of Boston directly in to the Charles River. You’ll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom. Advance registration required, limited space available.

Walk amongst the dead in burying grounds nearly four hundred years old, hear stories of those whose mortal remains lie beneath your feet, and listen to tales of many of the sordid practices that went along with them. Start the day with a tour into the culinary traditions and marketplaces of Boston’s Little Italy.  You will visit some of Boston’s most iconic landmarks located in the North End, such as the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church.  After stopping at the USS Constitution, you will enjoy an Italian lunch before traveling to Boston’s renowned Museum of Fine Arts.  This will include touring the newly opened Art of the Americas wing, which takes a global perspective on Art of the Americas, showcasing more than 5,000 works of art produced in North, Central, and South America over the course of three millennia.

Spend the morning touring the interactive John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and be transported back to the 1960’s.  Hear JFK’s historic speeches, see Jackie Kennedy’s famous gowns, and follow her through her tour of the White House.  After lunch at the Library, you will take a bus ride out to Salem, where you will eat at Pickering Wharf for lunch and then tour the seaport area before visiting the Salem Witch Museum.  Perfect for the day after Halloween!
