REGISTRATION

The on-line registration system is now disabled.  You may "walk-up" register in person at the hotel on Sunday afternoon (starting at 1:00 pm), or on Monday (starting at 7:00 am).  The fee for a walk-up registration is US$450 for IEEE members, and US$500 for non-members.  Credit cards, bank checks, or personal/company checks accepted (no cash please).

NOTE: It is our policy that everyone within the meeting area, even briefly, must be properly registered and must wear a namebadge.  We will strongly enforce this policy at the meeting.

The hotel is located just 15 minutes from the ATL airport.  Estimated taxi fare to downtown Atlanta: US$30, one way.  Hotel is easily accessible from MARTA, which stops  (Peachtree Center MARTA stop)just two blocks from the hotel.

Arrive early and join us at Agatha's for a unique, original, and hilarious murder mystery event.  The evening includes a 5 course meal.

► Monday, March 21: Spouse/Companion Tour - What Dreams are Made of Posted 04Feb2016

Travel by bus to the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial in downtown Atlanta, first you will enter the National Visitor Center for Dr. King, Jr., which will be followed by a tour of The King Center.  Lunch will be served at Mary Mac's Tea Room, which opened in 1945 and is the last of sixteen tea rooms that dotted Intown Atlanta.  After lunch, visit the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum including photographs, historical memorabilia, and an exact replica of the Oval Office.

Start the morning at the World of Coca-Cola, where you will have a chance to taste Coke beverages from countries around the world and step inside a real bottling line.  Next, stop at The Pig & The Pearl Restaurant located in Atlanta Station.  The Pig & The Pearl is your one stop for everything smoked.  The tour will then head to the CNN Studio for the "Inside CNN Studio" Tour, a 50-minute walking tour descending 8 flights of stairs.  Elevator tours are available.

Wednesday Evening Dinner Social:  March 23

Atlanta History Center, Grand Overlook Ballroom  Posted 04Feb2016

Spend the evening touring the museum, gardens, historic houses, and park at the Atlanta History Center.  Spend time before dinner viewing current exhibitions in the museum: the History of Bobby Jones, Olympic History and the Civil War.  Actors in period costumes will entertain you with music and tales of times gone by.  Dinner will be served in the Grand Overlook Ballroom, one of the most beautiful ballrooms in Atlanta, overlooking an illuminated garden.  After dinner, you are welcome to continue your tour through the museum.

Join in on a factory tour of the state-of-the-art facility for the manufacture of high voltage breakers located just north of Atlanta.  Buses will depart the hotel on Sunday morning at 9:00 am.  Lunch will be served following the factory tour, and return to hotel by 1:30 pm.

Located 1.5 hours away in Athens, Georgia, a bus will depart the Sheraton hotel at 12:30 pm, with a box lunch, to take you to Power Partners for a tour of the facility.  We'll stop at "The Varsity" on the way back to Atlanta, for an All-Georgia diner experience.  Be ready when you step up to the counter where you'll hear: "What'll ya have?"  Buses will arrive back at the hotel by 8:00pm.
