ATDECC
AVB/TSN Discovery, Enumeration, Connection management and Control
About
IEEE P1722.1 work group develops the standard that facilitates interoperability between systems that stream time-sensitive media and data across local area networks which provide time synchronization and latency/bandwidth services. The standard specifies the protocol, device discovery, connection management, and device control procedures used to facilitate interoperability between systems that use IEEE 802 time sensitive networking standards.
IEEE Std. 1722.1-2013 was approved for publication in 2013
The corrigendum provides technical and editorial corrections to the IEEE 1722.1-2013 standard. The P1722.1-2013 Corrigendum is available from IEEE.
For questions regarding the P1722.1 working group, please contact the working group chair, Richard Bugg
The primary forum for working group communication is the e-mail reflector. Instructions for joining the reflector are here.
ATDECC is formerly known as AVDECC (Audio Video Discovery, Enumeration, Connection management and Control). The working group decided to change the name to be more inclusive of other applications beyond audio and video.
The policies and procedures for the working group can be found here.
Projects
The working group is currently completing a revision to 1722.1-2013 to further facilitate interoperability between systems that stream time-sensitive media and data across local area networks which provide time synchronization and latency/bandwidth services. The revision will expand support for more devices and applications.
IEEE P1722.1 REV1
This revision to the IEEE 1722.1-2013 standard is expanding support to cover more types devices on the network, including network infrastructure, and applications beyond audio and video.
The P1722.1 REV PAR can be read online.
We are now finishing the development process for the revision. Input on additional features, issues and corrections is still welcome but may be held until the next PAR.

Face to Face
The P1722.1 working group traditionally holds face-to-face meetings several times each year. Due to the ongoing global health crisis these meetings have been replaced by an online teleconference. The F2F meetings are in addition to the weekly online meeting and allow for extended focused discussions.
Meeting Location
Please monitor the e-mail reflector once global travel restrictions are lifted.
Upcoming F2F meetings
Please watch the e-mail reflector for the date of the next 2021 online F2F meeting.
