I've wondered in the past whether to speak up about the convention
of using boldface to distinguish intervals from scalars, as opposed
to duplication (e.g. x \in xx), which is what Arnold used in the
plain-text version of the Vienna proposal. The distinction is not
always very visible (and in some contexts, e.g. text extraction, it
can be completely invisible).
Jürgen now spotted an actual confusion near the end of 4.4.1 on p. 13.
How about bold-face duplication?
