Sure. For these to be helpful, the commit messages have to contain the
change tracking information and they have to be readable by everyone.
That's why I suggested to use one of the project tracking applications
that provide read-only access to that information. Of course that's
still kind of manual as it requires to divide work on the draft into
a kind of meaningful chunks for change tracking and using the
commit messages consequently.
