[P-1788]: Reference implementation and compliance test bed available

P-1788:

I am happy to report that Dima Nadezhin and Sergei Zhilin have
published a description of a Java implementation of (much of) the
P-1788 standard, as well as a framework for testing compliance
of third-party packages with the standard, in Reliable Computing
as a contribution to the special volume consisting of work
presented at SCAN 2012. (The actual paper is newer.) I invite
people to access it from the table of contents page for
Reliable Computing at

http://interval.louisiana.edu/reliable-computing-journal/tables-of-contents.html

The actual paper is:
Dmitry Yu. Nadezhin and Sergei I. Zhilin, JInterval Library: Principles, Development, and Perspectives, pp. 229-247.

It is the first paper in issue 3 of Volume 19. The PDF
is freely available, but people who reference it should
properly cite it. Dima and Sergei's JInterval library is
also available.

This paper may reveal ways to optimally tweak the final
P-1788 document.

Many thanks to Dima and Sergei!

Sincerely,

Baker
