Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] 答复: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] Announcement: P802.11bn D1.1 is now available

Agreed. That's why I said Revised with instructions.

I should have been clearer.  "REVISED -- This was fixed already in D1.1" would

also not be a suitable resolution.  The commenter or anyone else reviewing

a proposed resolution should be able to determine what was done to address

the comment just by looking at the resolution.

> From Ross: Could be Accepted or Revised with instructions, and have a note to the editor: saying has been resolved in D1.x, no further changes are needed.

This.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Alfred, Mark and all,

Thanks Mark for the reminder, which I totally agree.

I paste the tutorial and guideline links here:

The part Mark quoted in the tutorial slides:

    • Rejected means “we disagree with the comment, and made no changes”.  Don’t use “Rejected” if the comment is addressed in another comment.  Instead,  repeat part of the resolution of that comment as appropriate.   Don’t use “Rejected - Fixed in Draft x.y” as a resolution because it doesn’t say what you changed to resolve the comment.

From Ross: Could be Accepted or Revised with instructions, and have a note to the editor: saying has been resolved in D1.x, no further changes are needed.

Example on Revised resolution in the tutorial slides (we discussed this during Po-Kai’s contribution):

    • “Revised.
    • At p 1234 line 56 change “shall” to “should”.
    • In reply to the commenter, this allows legacy STAs to continue this behaviour,  but allows new STAs to choose what to do.

Comments are on TGbn D1.0 so that would be an incorrect resolution.

… but the resolutions have to be against D1.0.  So no "REJECT -- This was fixed already in D1.1" etc.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello All,

P802.11bn D1.1 is now available in the members area:

Thanks to our editor, Ross, for working around the clock to ensure the delivery of the draft in a timely manner.

Reminder for all PDT/CR authors: Please make sure that all CRDs that are in preparation use D1.1 as a baseline, as it will simplify our editor's work and avoid any conflicts between different variants of the draft.

Regards,

Alfred
