Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] [EXT] Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] Agenda request for November Plenary

The phrase “occupied subcarrier” have been used in the 11mf. May change to

The base OFDM symbol is generated by performing a 64-point IFFT of with TBD non-zero occupied  tones  subcarriers and pre-appending the last 0.8us waveform as the cyclic prefix.”

Hi Rui,

You are basically suggesting to specify the number of null sub-carriers instead? That is, the opposite of the meaning as it was?

I think this is a bit backwards, even if of course the number of non-zero sub-carriers is 64 minus the number of null sub-carriers.

However, if this is the approach used in 11mf, it is OK.

Thanks Leif/Bin/Alfred for the suggestion during the call.

After checking 11mf, I notice that the phrases of “non-zero” and “loaded/populated” are not used for IFFT, and only “null” is used. I am proposing to make the following changes to the sentence:

  • “The base OFDM symbol is generated by performing a 64-point IFFT of with TBD non-zero null tones subcarriers and pre-appending the last 0.8us waveform as the cyclic prefix.”

Let me know if you have other suggestions to the wording.

Thanks,

Rui

Hi Leif,

Thanks for the information. I will make the change to 2.4GHz text as suggested.

For S1G, looks like there are different interpretations of the motion text. @lipanpan (D), do you want to bring another SP/motion to clarify your intention? or I can leave out S1G waveform text for now.

Thanks,

Rui

Hi Rui,

The way I recall the discussion related to motion #94 is that it originally said CW, but when Joerg asked if the intention really was to have a carrier wave the answer was that the intention was to say that it should be single carrier (and not OFDM), and therefore the SP was changed to single carrier.

I believe the spec text therefore should read as the passed motion.

A minor editorial thing. In 40.3.3.1, I suggest writing . The base OFDM symbol is generated by performing 64-point IFFT of TBD non-zero tones

Instead of  The base OFDM symbol is generated by performing 64-point IFFT of TBD loaded tones

BR,

Leif

Hi Bo,

Please help to add the following PDT to the agenda:

Hi TTT members,

After confirming with the motion mover for the S1G carrier definition, I keep the CW definition in the PDT. Please review if you have any comments or suggestions.

Thanks,

Rui
