Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] SP for DCN 11-25-1841-01-00bp

Hi Solomon,

One question for the proposal. I consider phy deal, MAC delay, RxTx time, etc. as a process delay. Do we really want to couple the processing delay to SIFS?

One thought can be we still keep SIFS as 16 µs but add those implementation dependent delays on top of the SIFS (16 µs). In that sense, we do not extend SIFS to 50 µs (or 60, 70).

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Bo,

Please add to the SP list regarding DCN 11-25-1841-01-00bp

SP 1

What value of the aSIFSTime characteristic do you consider relevant?

       50 µs

       60 µs

       70 µs

SP 2

Do you agree?

Instruct the TGbp editor to include the following table in paragraph 40:

Table xyz AMP PHY characteristics

Characteristics

Value

aSIFSTime

50us

aRxPHYDelay

Implementation dependent

aMACProcessingDelay

Implementation dependent

aRxTxTurnaroundTime

Implementation dependent
