Sure, we can have further discussion about this. But I would like to also hear other people’s opinions on the SP1 when it is run in PM1.

  • Do you agree to add the following text to the 11bp SFD?
  • 802.11bp defines an AMP SP Advertisement frame (SP Advert frame for short) that an AMP AP transmits to advertise the AMP Service Period parameters.
  • The SP Advert frame shall be the only frame that carries the AMP Service Period parameters. This frame replaces the Trigger frame in FM-8.
  • Note: The AMP STAs that do not support service period operation do not need to decode this frame.
  • Note: The AMP Service Period parameters are optionally present in the SP Advert frame.

The SP Start Time is the start time of the upcoming AMP Service Period. The SP Interval is the time interval between two subsequent service periods with the same SP ID.
  • Note: The SP Minimum Wake Duration refers to the minimum wake up time defined in Motion #75 (MM-22).
  • Note: The SP Interval is applicable to AMP STAs that can remember it.

  • IEEE 802.11bp defines the Operation Status field, to carry the transmission time that the non-AP AMP STA can sustain. The Operation Status field shall be carried in the UL frame transmitted in response to a request for the Operation Status from the AMP AP, and may be carried in every UL frame otherwise.
  • Note: The non-AP AMP STAs that cannot determine the transmission time it can sustain, are not required to respond to a request for Operation status from the AMP AP.

SP3

  • Do you agree to add the following text to the 11bp SFD?
  • IEEE 802.11bp defines an Operation Mode Factor field, to carry a fixed multiplicative factor of the reported transmission time, to indicate the time that the non-AP AMP STA can sustain other modes of operation.
  • Note: The Operation Mode Factor is meant as a one-time report for a given mode of operation.
  • Note: Other modes of operation may include reception, channel sensing, idle, writing.
  • Note: The Idle mode refers to a mode of operation with no RF activity, i.e. the non-AP AMP STA cannot transmit or receive any frames in this mode.
