Hi Everyone, I’ve been reviewing the recent contributions, including
muma_3dm_01_0126.pdf, and I want to step back and ask a broader architectural question.
Several proposals now converge on a ~160ns link segment delay as necessary to support longer cable reach. This conclusion directly reflects physical constraints and trade-offs
that were previously discussed in earlier contributions addressing link delay budgets, PoC interactions, and reach limitations across 802.3dm use cases.
Given this emerging convergence, I’d like to ask:
My intent here is to ensure we have a consistent technical foundation, rather than re-deriving the same constraints in parallel.
