[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3db 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Short Reach Fiber 1st Standards Association recirculation ballot results



Dear Colleagues,

The 1st Standards Association recirculation ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3db 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Short Reach Fiber closed successfully on 21st June 2022. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The 28 June 2022, 29 June 2022 (contingent), 30 June 2022 (contingent) IEEE P802.3db Task Force interim series meetings <https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> will consider the 12 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database was announced on the IEEE P802.3db Task Force reflector and is available at <https://www.ieee802.org/3/db/comments/index.html>. 

An additional comment was received after the ballot closed, this comment will be marked as 'late' in the comment report and will be considered by the IEEE P802.3db Task Force if, based on a vote, if necessary, there is no objection to do so.

The ballot statistics are:

  95 Voters
  82 Approve
   2 Disapprove
   3 Abstain
  87 Ballots returned

  91% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
   3% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  97% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
