Hi Rene,
We amended the text and a new revision has been posted:
https://mentor.ieee.org/privecsg/dcn/15/privecsg-15-0004-01-0000-privacy-recommendation-par-csd-proposal.pptx
We will discuss this new text in our Feb 4 Teleconference and the plan is to pre-circulate it amongst WGs for consideration at the March plenary meeting.
Please take a look at the new text and send your comments to the list or voice them at the teleconference.
Best,
Juan Carlos

Subject: Re: [STDS-802-Privacy] Privacy Recommendation PAR-CSD proposal
Hi Juan Carlos:
Thanks for the draft write-up and apologies for only seeing this now (after your evening session).
I have two comment for now:
a) Slide 4: Shouldn't one also suggest something for existing standards, rather than only for new ones? After all, some experiments carried out at IEEE and IETF meetings related to using an ephemeral MAC address rather than a static 48-bit or 64-bit address,
using existing deployed laptops, etc.(alluded to on Slide 14)
b) Slide 11: I would suggest adding 802.15 to the list of 802 standards where privacy would be at play. {As you may recall, I had a presentation (see [1] below) on addressing and privacy aspects in the 6lo group at the IETF-91 meeting in November (where many
6lo stakeholders use 802.15.4 transceivers). For slides, see [1] below.}
