stds-802-mobility: IEEE 802 Interim Meeting in Singapore

Title: RE: stds-802-mobility: RE: 802.20 Nominations and Elec

Hi All:

Given the health danger from SARS for people visiting Asia (and in particular Singapore), I request that the IEEE802 interim meetings planned for Singapore either be moved to a different location or cancelled.  We should not provide a mechanism to spread this disease by visiting Singapore then returning home as carriers.

Regards,

Subject: stds-802-mobility: Geoff Thompson is appointed interim chair of 802.20

Dear Members of the 802.20 Mobility Mailing List,

The 802.20 officer positions resulting from the March 13, 2003 election results were not affirmed by the IEEE 802 Executive Committee.  The Chair has appointed and the Executive Committee has affirmed the appointment of Geoff Thompson <Thompson@ieee.org> as interim chair of 802.20.  Mr. Thompson will be acting as interim chair until new elections are held.  The date for new elections will be announced at a later date, but the elections will not occur before the July 2003 Plenary.

Regards,
