Dear All, As a follow up to Gang’s email, SRD v13 and the
comment database v3 was posted on the drop box section of 802.20 home page by
Gang Wu today. As decided at the end of the May meeting last week, following is
a set of details which will super-cede the previous process for comment
resolution w.r.t the SRD. The comment cycle term is used instead of
“ballot” in order to clarify that this process is adopted by the
802.20 WG in order to accelerate the comment resolution for creating the
baseline text for the SRD. In essence the comment cycle invites comments to the
latest version of the SRD that will be circulated to the group. The 802.20 WG Comment
Cycle #2 is now open, through 11
PM GMT, 8 June 2004. The Comment cycle concerns development of the
SRD v13 that Gang Wu has posted on http://ieee802.org/20/Drop_Box.htm.
In order to progress to the next step, 802.20 Comment Cycle
contributors will require using the commentary database located on http://ieee802.org/20/Commentary.htm.
Please read carefully the instructions to use the Comment Database also given
on this page. (http://ieee802.org/20/Commentary/CRD%20Instructions%20v3.doc).
It gives enough details on how to enter the comments and submit via email to
the editor. Below are set of guidelines to be followed:
(last name, first
name, membership, document under review, comment cycle # (under “ballot #
“column), comment type (editorial or technical –
binding/nonbinding), comment (include the rational or reason for the comment),
suggested remedy, starting page, section and line number, Fig/Table
number if applicable, comment date).
After this Comment cycle #2, the editor will post the new
“Comment database for SRD v13” for the group to review and send
reply comments upon. There will be another cycle (Comment Cycle #3) for reply
comments before the July meeting. Based on the reply comments, the latest
version of the database will be posted at least a week before the July meeting
for the group to review. Make sure that all comments are returned
