Subject: [802-20-GENERAL] Definition of SimpleIP Service
Here is a draft definition of SimpleIP, as I agreed to define last night. I
took the definition (it was a paragraph) in IS-835, and edited it slightly to
remove the term PDSN, and to make it into a definition.
Any comments?
*Simple IP: A service in which the Mobile Station is assigned a dynamic IP
address from the local
IP subnetwork and is provided IP routing service by a service provider
network. The Mobile Station retains its IP address as long as it is served by
a radio network which has connectivity to the address assigning IP
subnetwork. There is no IP address mobility beyond this subnetwork.
