From business economics perspective there is value in the group using the time alotted Mon thru Thur to get work done as a group FTF. I do not understand why on any grounds the chair of a IEEE group would resist requests by the members to work together when they are onsite and willing. Please respect the requests from the multiple companies.

Dear Jerry,
As the WG members have already traveled all the way to the meeting, we should try to start working on ballot comment resolution on Thursday, March 9, after the close of ballot on Wednesday. At the very least, some meeting time slots should be allocated to the ballot resolution committee to start planning their work schedule.
Best regards, Anna.

Jerry1upton@AOL.COM [mailto:Jerry1upton@AOL.COM] Dear Naftali, Thank you for your thought inputs on the agenda. However, my view is that it is an unfair burden to schedule a two day
recess at the Plenary. Having people wait for a status of the letter ballot for
two days when the status can be sent by email seems a poor use of peoples time.
The ballot does not close until midnight Wednesday. Given the expect number of
comments and possible last minute ballot returns, a status would not even be
possible until the sometime on late Thursday afternoon. It is not clear what
work would the group do based upon a summary status. I am sure we will need a
recirculation of the ballot. Therefore I will not amendment the agenda and extend the time. Regards, Jerry Upton Chair, 802.20 In a message dated 2/9/2006 7:56:40 AM Central Standard
Time, naftali.chayat@ALVARION.COM writes: Dear Jerry, I am a bit surprised by the fact that the agenda of 802.20
terminates on Tuesday. Since the ballot closes on Wednesday, I believe that
Thursday (which is still within the IEEE802 plenary meeting date range) should
be spent on discussing the outcome of the ballot, its implications and planning
of next steps. Even if the outcome of this ballot would have been known in
advance (which I assume is not) it would still be more appropriate to take
actions related to the ballot outcome after the ballot, not before. My recommendation would, therefore be: 1) add to the agenda (on Thursday) the topic of actions and
planning related to the ballot outcome 2) schedule meetings for the whole week, and if you run out
of work, take the Tuesday and Wednesday off. Best Regards, Naftali Chayat
All, I corrected the High Level Agenda for the March
Plenary that was posted earlier. My apology for the typing errors. http://www.ieee802.org/20/Meeting%20Agenda/Proposed%20High%20Level%20Agenda%20Mar%2006.doc The Working Letter Ballot closes at midnight on Wednesday
during the plenary. Given that timing and the lack of other business, I
assume we will have a short session. Contributions are due February 24, 2006. . Regards, Jerry Upton Chair, 802.20
