Subject: [802SEC] +++10 Day EC Email Ballot (Closes no later than 18
December 2006)+++Motion to forward document 18-06-0080 to ITU-R WP8F+++

Dear EC members,

During the November Plenary meeting 802.18 conditionally approved
document 18-06-0080 "IEEE New Project to Develop a Standard to Meet the
Cellular Layer Requirements of IMT-Advanced" for submission to ITU-R
WP8F. The conditional approval required that if the 802.16m PAR was
approved then the 802.18 chair should forward the document to the EC for
approval to be submitted to ITU-R WP8F as an IEEE 802 document.

On 6 December the 802.16m PAR was approved. Pursuant to that I am now
forwarding document 18-06-0080 for an email ballot by the EC. Upon
successful completion of the email ballot the document will be forwarded
via the IEEE SA ITU-R Liaison to ITU-R WP8F.

Motion: Moved by Mike Lynch, seconded by Roger Marks

"To approve document 18-06-0080 as an 802 document, authorizing the
chair of 802.18 to do necessary editorial and formatting changes and,
using the document as a "template", create the appropriate input to
ITU-R WP8F."

Informative: This document informs ITU-R WP8F of a new project being
started in IEEE.

This ballot opens at midnight CT Friday 8 December and closes at 11:59
p.m. CT Monday 18 December 2006.

Regards,

Mike
