The IEEE Working Group on Power Quality Data Analytics reports to the IEEE PES Power Quality Subcommittee.
Objectives:
Power quality data analytics is a discipline that specializes in collecting waveform-based power system data, extracting information from it, and applying the findings to solve a wide variety of power system problems in areas such as power quality, power system protection, equipment condition monitoring, and network performance enhancement.
The objective of this working group is to develop use-cases, recommendations and guidelines for extracting information and knowledge from the power quality disturbance data for applications including and beyond traditional power quality concerns, such as condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.
Scope:
- Promote and support PQ data analytics research and applications activities;
- Share data and experience on PQ data analytics;
- Develop guidelines for PQ disturbance analytics including algorithms, tools and monitoring networks.
