SUMMARY
REPORT OF THE MARCH 2001 MEETING OF IEEE 802.11:
Our March 2001 meeting was held at the Marriott Hilton Head, Hilton
Head Island, SC. Julius Knapp of the FCC gave a tutorial on Tuesday evening,
and also visited the 802.11 Task Groups. The Working Group thanks Julius
for his participation and input during the week. The 1394 Trade Association
gave a presentation on high quality AV transmission during the 802.11 plenary
sessions. The 1394TA has scoped a project to define a bridge between 1394
and 802.11.
The 5Ghz Study Group, 5GSG, was renewed until the July Plenary. They
have forwarded their PAR and 5 Criteria to ExCom.

Meeting Schedule:
The next meeting of 802.11 will take place at the Radisson Orlando at
the entrance to Universal Orlando, FL, USA, the week of May
14th-18th, 2001. See
