Scope of the MSC:

• To create, maintain, and encourage the use of IEEE standards for the engineering of computer systems involving microprocessor and floating-point architectures, buses, interconnects, sensors, microprocessor operating system interfaces, real-time operating systems, programming and object languages, data interchange, cryptographic hardware, and computer environmental specifications.

IEEE/RAC reviews

The MSC committee has representatives on the IEEE/RAC, a committee that manages technical concerns associated with unique number assignments: Leonard Tsai and Bob Davis. Their intent is to use the MSC reflector to solicit inputs about current and future IEEE/RAC activities.
