A tiny technical correction Re: time zones

George et al,

For what it's worth:
You (and also I) are at GMT -6; GMT +6 corresponds to Novosibirsk, where
Сергей Шарый et al are. In any case, you are correct that 12:00 GMT (noon
in London) the
next day is the precise time at which the present day disappears from
the face of the earth. However, this does not take account of "summer time"
in London and the possibility that some tropical or southern ocean islands
near the date line do not go on northern hemisphere summer time.

I am at GMT + 6, so that means I get up the next morning and process any votes in my inbox.

2. I request an updated roster of Voting Members to double-check voter
eligibility and size of the quorum.

Yes. I try to send it, but I appreciate reminders.

3. If the vote is ties, or if the vote is one vote short of a quorum,
I will give the Chair the opportunity to vote.

OK. I guess I should withhold my vote(s) until then, as long as
I am acting as chair. By the way, I'm guessing that Nathalie
can vote if I am acting as chair.

Best regards,

Baker
