Jurgen, Marco, I greatly appreciate your contributions to the discussion. As mentioned yesterday, our positions appear to be very close. I think the main differences can be summarized by two points: -- I still believe decoration D4/ein as defined in Motion 25 is required to ensure the deocration system works properly; eliminating this decoration as proposed in Motion 27 can lead to failures of certain interval algorithms. -- I'm skeptical about promoting bare decorations to Entire as opposed to Empty; on the one hand it is plausible, but on the other hand this destroys information about the operation that originally produced the bare decoration. I note that neither Motion 25 nor Motion 26 take a position on bare decorations; so for the sake of keeping discussion focused, I attach a PDF addressing my thoughts only on the first of these two issues.
