RE: [PP-DIALOG] Frequent asked questions and answers regarding the IEEE's new patent policy

Title: Frequent asked questions and answers regarding the IEEE's new patent policy

Claire,

Do you have any sort of outline developed at this point?  If so, it would be helpful to see it so that we may populate certain areas.

It would be easier for me to offer FAQ or suggestions if I had some idea of the structure, tone, audience etc.

For example, is the FAQ going to be set up to map the order of the bylaws, the operating procedures, and the forms?  Or is the FAQ going to be set up by new concepts/terms?

Or is it going to start out with “What’s Changed?” and say it used to be this way and now it is this way?

Also, is this FAQ going to be for both the engineer and the legal folk?  What is the intended audience and tone?

I would also welcome the opinion of others on this reflector as to what they had in mind for the structure, tone, audience for the FAQ.

Thanks.

Susan

Subject: [PP-DIALOG] Frequent asked questions and answers regarding the IEEE's new patent policy

We are working on educational materials that describe the IEEE's new patent policy and are developing FAQs to help illucidate some of the policies' nuances.  We would like to be sure our materials cover questions you think should be addressed as part of our educational materials and FAQs.  Please send me any questions you would like us to address by Friday January 19, 2006.
