Review of educational material in support of the approved changes to the IEEE-SA Patent Policy
All,
Further to my email of just over a week ago this is the announcement of
the review of the educational material in support of the approved changes
to the IEEE-SA Patent Policy. The PatCom core drafting committee has
developed these documents, we then sought input from the members of PatCom
and have updated the documents accordingly.
We want to ensure these documents are helpful to participants in the
IEEE-SA's standards development process and therefore we are now seeking
your input through the comment tool we used to develop the policies. A 10
day period is being provided for review with the comment period closing
11:59PM EST 20th February 2007. After this comment period is complete, the
core drafting committee will meet to develop responses, and revise the
draft educational material as needed. It is hoped that the comments
response, and any updated documents, will then be circulated to PP-DIALOG
in early March in time for the PatCom meeting.
The drafts and comment tool can be accessed at the URL -[
http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/pp-dialog/draft-com-support-docs/index.html
]. The drafts that are being circulated for review are as follows:
