[PP-DIALOG] FW: First draft of updated IEEE-SA Patent Policy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) available
Dear pp-dialog members,
One clarification to the email below regarding the draft patent policy and LoA. The IEEE-SA Standards Board approved the draft patent policy update at its August 2014 meeting but has not yet approved the proposed updates to the LoA Form.
Best regards,
David

The first draft of the updated IEEE-SA Patent Policy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) is now available for public review and comment. The draft can be accessed at <http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/pp-dialog/drafts_comments/index.html>. The comment period will open today, and will close at 23:59 Anywhere on Earth (AOE) <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anywhere_on_Earth> on 25th October 2014. This draft has been developed to reflect the draft patent policy and LoA as approved by the IEEE-SA Standards Board at its August 2014 meeting. Please focus your comments on any matters that should be addressed in light of this draft patent policy.
Please submit your comments based the 'clean' version of the current draft <http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/pp-dialog/drafts_comments/Patent_Policy_FAQ_101014.pdf>. A redline version against the current FAQ text is available at <http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/pp-dialog/drafts_comments/index.html> to assist in your review. (The draft patent policy and LoA as approved by the IEEE-SA Standards Board at its August 2014 meeting are available at the same URL as the redline.) Please clearly state your comment and a proposed change in the text that would resolve your comment.
Please use the PatCom FAQ comment entry spreadsheet for the submission of comments in order for your comments to be considered in a systematic manner. This spreadsheet is available at <http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/pp-dialog/comment-tool/index.html>. (Note: please do not use any previous version of this spreadsheet, because it has been modified.) We will not be able to consider edited copies of the document. For each comment you submit, please provide the FAQ number and the starting line number to which your comment relates. Please do not use the format '4-5' for line numbers; if you wish to reference a span of lines, please do so in the comment itself.
