P-1788: The two remaining issues with expired discussion periods
P-1788:
With Motion 19 and Motion 23 now with the status of "voting,"
there are two remaining issues (other than Motion 14.02, awaiting
Motion 19) whose discussion term has run out:
1. An additional alternative for comparison operators
(Motion 21: interval overlapping), and
2. An additional motion concerning decorations, the "continuity bit"
(motion 22).
I am hesitant to bring motion 21 to a vote, since an
additional closely-related alternative has been put forward
in private, with the expressed intent to eventually
bring it forward as a motion. It has been suggested that I
group such related motions together for a simultaneous vote.
I am thus awaiting Juergen's revision of Motion 21 and Arnold's
alternative proposal for comparison operators.
Regarding Motion 22, Nate has recently stated he thinks the alternative
Arnold and he had been discussing should follow voting on Motion 22.
I will therefore bring Motion 22 forward on its own.
