Something is fishy with that  count statistic in google

it indeed says  ... position...  has 2,580,000
  but you can look at all of them in just 3 pages.

and ...place has 375,000
 but many many pages of them.

I think ULP is ... PLACE.

I searched for "units in the last place"   vs  "units in the last 
position"  with quotes and plural.
