So be it.  Motion P1788/0022.01 is herewith tabled, and the discussion period
for the amendment begins.   The discussion period for the amendment will
continue until the end of October 4, 2010.

Yes, but I gather from a couple of John's messages that he might not accept it as a friendly amendment.

If John does not accept this as an amendment, my interpretation of our Policies and Procedures is that you table M0022.01, open a 3 week discussion period on this amendment (I suggest M0022.01.Amend001.01, to allow room for growth).  At the end of 3 weeks discussion of the amendment, we enter a 3 week voting period on the amendment.

I see nothing in our P&P that provides for any shortened process.


I do not accept this as a friendly amendment. I want it to enter its discussion period. If the discussion shows a clear majority for Nate's view I will accept it as a FA. If the reverse, Nate might withdraw his amendment but that's his decision. Otherwise let it go to vote.
